Message not read my findings? If that isn't hard data then what is? I am still waiting for Ashes hard data on the Z engine. V8 and inline six dont' count. They have their own load and harmonics. A V8 is externally balanced hence the harmonic dampner. A Z engine is internally balanced unlike a V8 . There is no harmonic dampner on the Z . It is called a torsional dampner because the load the accessoris place on the crank shaft and the weight of the pulley. The UD pulley lessons the load of the accessories to the point of negating the need for a torsional dampner.
Everyone has a right rebut other's views. That is why we have a forum. People can then decide which one sounds most logical.
